Marty

Starting at the bakery as a fridge stacker and egg cracker at the age of 13, Marty went on to do a baking apprenticeship at 15, to being appointed Managing Director at 28. Marty really is the epitome of our youthful ‘green & growing’ company that believes in giving people and ideas a chance. Loves: his family, footy and skiing. Favourite motto: 'If you wouldn't sell it to your mother, don't sell it to someone else'

Starting with the bakery in 2002 in customer service, then onto shop supervisor and store manager, Janet now balances managing the Beechworth Bakery with ensuring all the new stores follow its high standards. Loves: fishing, ten pin bowling and motorbike touring. Favourite motto: 'If you've got time to lean, you've got time to clean'

Min

Born and bred in Beechworth, Min started as a cake decorator in 1984, then moved to the shop front before becoming the bakery’s Training Officer. Loves: live music and is an avid walker and netball player. Favourite motto: 'Hire for attitude, train for skill'

Bray

After helping to get the processing operation up and running at a new bio diesel plant, Bray returned to his first love - baking - by joining the Beechworth Bakery in 2009. As the Production Manager he is in charge of the bakehouse, scheduling and overseeing the daily production of all the bakery goodies. Loves: Spending time with his beautiful wife and his family, holidaying by the sea, basketball, waterskiing, and leaving a mess for his wife. Favourite motto: 'Don't make grumpy food - if you don't enjoy what you're making, it shows in the product.'

Annie - Bendigo BB

Annie was there from the start of the Beechworth Bakery Bendigo, when it opened in 2005. Being the superstar she is, Annie progressed from a ‘shy’ dishwasher, moved into cooking the famous Beechworth Bakery pies, then onto supervisor and now is the Beechworth Bakery Bendigo manager. Loves: her family and doing long stitch & knitting. Favourite motto: 'Go out of your way for the customer'

Anthea - Albury BB

Anthea started in Beechworth and worked there for 10 months before moving to Albury as supervisor. Three years later she was appointed manager of the Albury bakery. Loves: Swimming, camping, lying on the beach, Latin dancing, Snickerdoodles and cleaning up after Bray Wink. Favourite motto: Drop everything for the customer'

Belinda - Ballarat BB

Starting in 2006 as a salad bar worker for the opening of Ballarat’s Beechworth Bakery, Belinda has quickly risen to manager of the Ballarat store. Before joining the bakery, Belinda was a nature tourism guide. Loves:Taekwondo, cooking and reading books that inspire. Favourite motto: 'Never miss a good chance to shut up'

Matt - Healesville BB

Matt’s first job at the Beechworth Bakery in 2004 was with the 1am bread making shift, a big change from his previous job as a chef. After training in all areas at the Beechworth store, he moved on to the Echuca bakery, and is now manager of the Beechworth Bakery Healesville. Loves: surfing and snowboarding … when he gets the time. Favourite motto: 'If we can make every customer happy and make any unhappy customer's day, I think we are doing a great thing. When everyone's happy, it's infectious'
