The Bakehouse here is in full view of the cafe, so come and watch the vanilla slices being handmade right in front of you.
Spacious and family-orientated, our parkland setting is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy all our mouth-watering Bakery treats. The bakery seats up to 200 people, with 170 spaces for cars, buses and bikes, and is the ideal meeting place or stopover for our famous pies and cakes. With well over 100 scrumptious temptations to choose from, it has to be said that our Vanilla Slice is still everybody’s favourite. Prepared fresh every day on the premises, served with great coffee made just the way you like it, you’ll be back for more. Guaranteed!

Travelling from Melbourne along the Maroondah Highway, the Warburton Highway peels away from the Maroondah Highway between Lilydale and Coldstream and then the Melba Highway branches off from the Maroondah at Coldstream with “Coombe Cottage”, the historic home of Australia’s famous opera singer Dame Nellie Melba, fronting both highways.
